I really appreciated the world-building in the form of accounting. On the relationship side of things, it’s only just started at the end (which I can also say about getting to know the other characters like the naive holy maiden and the super shady prime minister, it’s all about set-up), but I’m looking forward to reading the next volume!

This wasn’t all that interesting to me personally. I’m surprised by how much of this was the in and outs of accounting. Even an alternate world couldn’t make that interesting to me.
This book also covers the exposition of the magical transportation really quickly and it felt like the MC honestly under-reacted to the whole thing.
I didn’t see any chemistry between the MC and the knight and I just wasn’t all that interested in what was happening in this one. Not for me.

*4.5 out of 5 stars*
I'm not really a fan of magic in a yaoi atmosphere, but I like the way it's portrayed here. I like the development of the characters so far and I'm invested in the progression of the world building more so than the romance. That's not because I don't think the main couple is interesting. I just appreciate the attention to detail in how the world works (money equivalence, title, status, etc). I'm interested in picking up volume 2 and if there was a way to read the novels, I'd love to read them as well.
