This book felt like it was written to be made into a movie. Pacing was uneven and the final turn felt rushed and not specific enough. Ultimately I don’t know that much about most of the characters and their motivations.

This is just such a fun book. I ended up enjoying it more on my reread of the book that I did to prepare for reading the sequel. The characters really shine in this book. I also love all the representation.

I’ve been really scared to start this book because I was worried that it would be boring but it absolutely was not! It had twists and turns that I (mostly) didn’t see coming and all of the characters were so incredibly interesting! Towards the end the plot got a little hard to follow but the book was so good that I’m going to give it 5 stars anyway!
