Andy Serkis made this listen very engaging. Would definitely recommend to Tolkien fans.

A near-perfect adventure story - something tells me the LOTR trilogy will do just that bit more with me, but let's just set that aside for now. The tale of the titular hobbit Bilbo Baggins is the kind of fantastical tale that can inspire both young and old. Because my interests rarely crossed within the realm of fantasy (and because in this world you'll always have a handful of people around you who will pester you for never having read this book), I was never before tempted to read it. But lately, under the spell of a simple bookish whim, I decided to go for it. And just at the right time, it seems because this was a perfect read for cold, rainy autumn days. As the weather and life outside became more and more dreary, I could open the book and be enveloped with Bilbo's wonderful story; a story that reaches both the fantastical, the whimsical, the comedic, and even the tragic, and melancholic as the book draws to a close. I rarely feel the kind of sadness I feel now that I've finished it, because there really is something so soothing in diving into an adventure like this.

My first ever audio book!!! It was an interesting experience that I will repeat in future. I still prefer to read it regularly but this was very useful for my daily walks, I wanted to change up the usual music I listen to and see if audio books are for me.
As for the book itself it was generally okay I understand why it's loved but it was just not my cup of tea. The best part of it was definitely the riddle game.
This is how my brain functions:
Do you wish me a good morning, or mean that it is a good morning whether I want it or not; or that you feel good this morning; or that it is a morning to be good on?
