My first ever audio book!!! It was an interesting experience that I will repeat in future. I still prefer to read it regularly but this was very useful for my daily walks, I wanted to change up the usual music I listen to and see if audio books are for me.
As for the book itself it was generally okay I understand why it's loved but it was just not my cup of tea. The best part of it was definitely the riddle game.

This is how my brain functions:

Do you wish me a good morning, or mean that it is a good morning whether I want it or not; or that you feel good this morning; or that it is a morning to be good on?

Yeahhh that was totally wicked!!!!

I was chuckling at the things that Bilbo says.

How he was worried he didnt have his handkerchief in the beginning was so cute.

And the foreshadowing by Gandalf about how Bilbo is not the same

This is only the second time I have read the hobbit. Its a lot different than Lord of the Rings. Its very much a kids book and is kind of weird to read until reaching the mountain. The voice that Andy Serkis has for Smaug is actually incredible.
