Our FMC has set up a cnc roleplay with her boyfriend and she is suprised by how enthusiasticallly her "intruder" has taken to his role. I loved the mix of reality and fantasy that Michele uses to both make the kink flow naturally (the planning, check-ins, limit discussions) and to let us get lost in the moment (focusing on her emotions, sensory descriptions, loss of control). It works really well to create this short story and it's ending... chef kiss.
And, she's a fat Latina, like the author.
This stands perfectly on its own but boy am I craving a sequel to this. The possibilites...

“No.” My voice was almost as raspy as his, mine from desire where his was formulated crackle.
“I don’t think I believe you.”
His breath was heavy behind my ear.

This book gave me so much that I had no idea I even wanted. This is a super short, ravishment fantasy story and I just LOVED IT.
Our heroine is ready to dump her lame boyfriend, but gives him another chance to fulfill her fantasies. A mask. An agreed upon kink list.
Our...hero? I ate up his dirty talk. All the things he said 🫠 🫠 🫠 . As I started looking through the story for notes for my review I just reread the entire thing and enjoyed it just as much the second time around.
Some of the kink is not my favorite – I’m not into masochism and I’m a baby so knife play scares me lol but I still ate this whole novel up. I want more. More! Going to be checking out more from Michele too!

“Eyes up here, baby.” I looked up at him, reluctant to look away from the sight before me, but he lifted my chin, fingers clenched tight to keep my head tilted for him. “Don’t be a brat now, not when you’ve been so good.”

I REALLY wanted to love this short story... BUT I felt like it didn't grasp me as much.. I would have liked to known the FMC - Sean a little bit more ro5 feel some type of relationship between them or to have a sense of familiarity between the two, but we were just kinda thrown in a story where the 1st pages were already set in motion instead of trying to capture the readers with more background. Granted, this short story has so much potential, but it just wasn't there for me.
