As with all short story collections some are better than others, but the average story here is really high quality and the collection itself gives a very nice mix of different takes on the evil overlord theme, from the overlord's perspective. Most of them quite funny and fast paced.

A mediocre-at-best collection of stories about Evil Overlords. Tanya Huff and Nina Kiriki Hoffman (no surprise there) wrote the only two stories worth reading. The stories aren't even offensively or impressively bad--just sort of boring and banal.
