I found this collection of lesbian romance stories to be fairly middling. None of them were particularly awful (though some I did dislike- the ice fishing story entitled Lucky Charm being one), but for me there were very few highlights. I also felt the title romance being stretched a little thin in parts. For instance, while I did like The Loneliest Road- a story about a woman giving up her pointe shoes, and another giving up her combat boots- I don't think romance was suitable as a title.

I enjoyed Georgia on my Mind, though I do think I'd have to shoot Georgia if I encountered her for very long. The Color of Autumn and Night at the Wax Museum were two other stories I liked, though I am tired of both manic pixie dream girls and vampire stories. But they were short and fun enough to amuse me.

Stories I disliked (or found dull) include The Bucket List, Tommie's Dream Lover and V-Day Diaries. Mostly I found there wasn't any real guts behind them.

I was also surprised by the sheer number of women named Angel in this book. Is it really that common?
