When I first started this book I thought I would slowly read it/listen to it while working & just take my time. Little did I know, after the first couple chapters, I just couldn’t put it down! I fell in love with August & Jane, & the mystery that is Jane. It was intriguing, & I couldn’t wait for the story to continue! It brought a bit of fantasy into my romance books, instead of the usual romance in my fantasy books; it was amazing!

Time travel, the subway and saphic romance, what more is there. Very emotional and well writen love story. The amount of detail about the 70's and 80's queer protests was so good. I loved feeling like a part of this little queer family.

 Started reading this on the subway during my last minute solo trip to New York, which felt apt. Also, definitely missed my stop.

4.5 something about the way CMQ writes 20-something characters having existential and identity crises has been really hitting these days (┬┬﹏┬┬)

This was an incredible read. it really felt like a love story to 70’s queer history told in a way that brings it to the present. Casey’s characters are always people you want to root for, regardless of what is going on. She also managed to make it feel like we inhabited all the place in the story and befriended all of the characters. A really fun read!

God where do I even begin? This made a romance-hater believe in the power of love and found family. Like WHO AM I RIGHT NOW?

There were minor things that kept this from being 5 stars for me, but I still loved it all the same.

I’m so upset I didn’t love this. I enjoyed it, but something was just missing for me. I feel like I didn’t really get to know the characters enough and I feel like there interactions weren’t enough. I think for me it was more telling then showing so it was hard for me to connect. I did really like the characters and the found family aspect. This is such an feel good story and like the author says it’s unbury the gays and that’s so important. I also didn’t really love the Syfy element/ magical realism which is my fault. I do recommend it because I did enjoy I just didn’t love it.
