I liked the overall story though I felt like it dragged on at some points. For example there was quite a bit of time spent explaining *why* Jane was trapped when I felt like that didn't really need to be explained (and ultimately was like ' we'll this is a wild guess anyway'). Also while I admire the authors dedication to showcasing the beauty of queer spaces, community friendships etc at times it felt like I was reading two different stories almost? Like we get a long scene at an event before ping ponging back to the plot of Jane being stuck on a train. This more of a personal gripe since I prefer a tighter plot driven stories- anyone who enjoys character interaction deep dives will enjoy that more.

This was a fun read! I agree with some of the other reviewers that the ending dragged on a bit too long, but overall I really enjoyed the book. The characters are easy to like, and even though some of twists were predictable, I liked seeing everything come together.

this was highly recommended in a lot of lesbian smut posts. the sex was not very detailed and vulgar (which i want!). the build up because of their chemistry is the hottest part (2/5 smut ⭐️). but aside from the lack of filth, the story is very well written and the sci-fi is interesting. the ending had me gooped ngl. definitely more of a slow burn love story but the outcome is worth the wait.

This book is lots of fun, but I would not say that the plot is particularly strong. As a queer woman, I am always looking for fun books with queer representation so I did enjoy reading this. However, I would say that the time travel part of the plot isn't super well fleshed out. In addition, sometimes some of the relationships and cute things that happen are kind of forced. However, if you suspend your disbelief and gear up for a lighthearted queer romance this delivers!

Per usual for Casey Mcquiston the characters were the stars of the novel. Her world building is alright. Her plot is alright but her characters  shine. The book took me a while to get into because I’ve been reading so many fast paced action heavy books recently this was a very different tone. It was lighthearted and sweet. And the cast was wonderful. It wasn’t my favorite book I’ve read recently but it was a good little change of pace
