This book was super super fun and was exactly what I needed at the time! Super funny yet emotional when it needed to be, I say if you need a good, lighter read during times like these to go ahead and give this book a try :)

I had my reservations about One Last Stop, but friends, this book has it all. It has love and heartbreak. It has truly phenomenal diversity. It has found family. It has magical realism. It has big city vibes.

This book was so hyped that I pretty much expected to dislike it (especially since I wasn't the biggest fan of the author's previous, very popular book). However, call me a believer or whatever you'd like, but I was hooked from the get-go with this one. I'm a huge fan of magical realism, so that aspect immediately piqued my interest. After that, I was drawn in by the adorable "forbidden" romance. Following that, I couldn't get enough of the side characters (and I want them all to have their own books). By the time that I was a little over halfway through, I just didn't want it to end.

Speaking of the end (don't worry, this is spoiler-free), I just loved the way it happened. I thought it was going to be totally predictable and while there were elements that I anticipated, there was also a lot about the ending that I was surprised by and really enjoyed. It was more drawn out than I expected and it made it extra sweet. Instead of a "picture perfect" epilogue, the final chapters just rounded out the story really beautifully.

Also: Jane. That's really it. If you read it for nothing else, read it for Jane because she is absolutely one of my favorite book characters of all time now.
