I honestly wish that this could have been a trilogy or more, I wish I could see more of Mara and her journey after what happens at the end of this book!
I didn’t expect to love this duology as much as I did when I read the first book a few months back but I genuinely really enjoyed it!! It was easy to read but at the same time not easy to read because of the subject matter, but I found it very thought provoking and interesting to dive deeper into how I thought about each case that we came across with Mara and The Messenger. At times it really made me take a step back and question my thoughts and opinions about certain human beings and how we judge too quickly without knowing full backstories.
Quick, easy, mildly disturbing in places but all in all a very interesting read!
