Soooo this wasn't bad, but I definitely would have enjoyed it more if I knew anything about DnD. There were some moments that made me cringe and the overuse of “heh” might've been what kept me from giving this 3 stars tbh.

My Sapphic nerdy heart has fallen in love with Di-Curious. I swooned, I laughed, I cried. All the great emotions to feel when reading! June and Nova quickly became some of my favorite characters ever in a book I’ve read. As a girlie who loves to dye her hair crazy colors and wishes to play D&D this was the perfect book to read. Especially with spooky season upon us, this was a nice cozy read that had some of that magic dancing through the pages. A wonderful read from Erin Branch.

I started reading this as I was interested by the blurb I read and wanted to know more about DnD and this book didn’t disappoint I loved the relationship between nova and June and everything that happened between them and a little detail I noticed (I’m not sure if it was intentional or not) each chapter has a D20 in the corner sometimes a Nat 20 or a Nat 1 (thanks to my boyfriend for letting me know the proper dnd terms) I noticed it connects to the type of chapter it’ll be happy or sad which I loved and I think I’ll be picking up another book from this author :)

This was such a cute and fun book! There is the perfect amount of DND content and references without it detracting from the plot— it actually complements the plot quite nicely and keeps it on pace. Nova is a precious angel and I want to steal them away. You can’t help but cheer for all the characters (except Parker), and *POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT* I’m glad that everyone was encouraged to follow their dreams and not give up a part of themselves for someone else. This was very wholesome— other than the NSFW scenes. The spice was spicy! Overall, very well done and would recommend!!!

This book is fun, relatable, and all around lovable. My only complaint is that it ended… I want more!
