DNF at 50%. Premise was good but execution was lacking. Just was not motivated to finish it.

Color changing alien

Trinity’s number is pulled on a lottery to help re-populate a dying species. What she was not prepared for was to be instantly captivated by the high commander Raig. There is some politics, mushy romance, and there is a lot of sex. Just saying.

I enjoyed reading the small details within Raig’s species and the differences between the caste system of his world. And how that translates into meeting and mating with a human.

Trinity is also a captain who is injured in the line of duty while fighting alongside rags, brothers during a war for the earth. There are many side characters that I am now invested in, and I need to know their love story! Well done!

It was one of the better shorter alien stories I’ve read. It was fast paced, insta-love, and had a decent plot. It was a bit too quick to fully enjoy but still a good read.

A nice read

It started out a bit corny but a lot of first books in a series start out awkwardly. It picked up later and started getting interesting.

Trinity was a little too agreeable to her situation, so I had a hard time taking her seriously when she said she wasn't submissive.

Overall, it was a good read.
