I won this book through First-Reads. It was actually quite interesting. I was initially more interested in the cookbook aspect of the book and I have never seen A Family Affair, but after reading this book I'd really like to see it. I think if I had seen the show before I read this, I would have liked the book more. "Cissy" really gives some neat anecdotes and behind-the-scenes information and I can see anyone who watched the show really enjoying the anecdotes Kathy shares. Since I hadn't seen the show, a few things were hard to follow, but I did get a good idea of the characters and actors involved in the show from what was written. I have yet to try many of these recipes but what I have tried I did like. Most recipes seem pretty simple to make too, so that's a definite plus!
