I remember everyone loving this when it came out but I ended up thinking it was just okay, nothing real special that makes me want to continue on. It read very late 2000’s/early 2010’s which does make sense because it came out in 2012 I believe, somewhere around there, but I’ve read other ones that came out around the same time recently and had more fun with them. I think I just didn’t connect with the characters. Anna just came across as a very goodie goodie southern peach and all I remember about Kaiden was that he was like British and a drummer.

Do. Your. Freaking. Research. On. Languages. You. Use.
Nephilim is plural, do you see the '-im' ending? There is literally a *built-in* solution to this issue! She often shortens it to 'neph'.

Also Anna is a Super Special Chosen One and the good girl who is flawless. Any book that spells out 'H-O-T-T' deserves to fester in the bits of demon hell. Also the dukes were the best part. Can't save it, though.

That was a...uh, well it was a book. Yeah? It was a book? There were characters and they said things and did things but I can't for the life of me call anything that happened a "plot" of any sort. I'm going to read the next one and if it piques my interest better, I'll plan on reading the rest of the series. Onward to the next book(?), at least for the next few hours while I wait for The Last Star to become available on my Audible.

What a great book I can see why Anna and Kaiden where mentioned in the Lux series. This book is full of moments were you can't help but stop and laugh at what the characters says. There are moments from wanting to punch one of them in the face, to finally to wow maybe not such and jerk. Can't wait to start the next one.

I really wanted to love this, I read these fabulous reviews and expected this sweeping romantic drama. What I got from it was something completely different. This is going to be a rant, warning. As I was writing down my after thoughts I got angry and lost focus. Please try not to hate me fans of this book

I found so many conflicting stories I didn't believe in any or her convictions at the end. She's a good girl, a virgin, no drugs , no alchohol, no parties who studies, loves her mother and believes in God. Oh my she's such a perfect angel. HA ! That held up for about 3 minutes till temptation wandered over to her. I got a teenager getting drinking lessons from her father, yes I know he's a demon but it was a hardcore drinking lesson and she is 16. Oh boy, I got virginity wishy washy 101, she waiting for marriage, oh but this boy I want to go all the way, even if we can never be together ? Ah, What ? She goes from drug free to raving neediest so fast I got whiplash when she is drugged unknowingly by a HS guy trying to get her virginity. WAIT, this was the most angering part of the whole story, most of the people at the party knew this football jock was doing this and they were all " yeh, man cool , you're so lucky girl" WTF ?!?!??!?!? She wasn't much better when her friend get up and fights for her she goes all "it's ok, don't hurt him, I'm fine" BLECH !!!!! TSTL ! I'm at the point where I'm hating the town, the school, the whole cast of screwed up people. Her, o"overprotective mother" who never lets her out of her sight, all of the sudden lets her go across the country alone with a horny band guy alone ? Her whole attitude throughout the story was so " oh it's okay" I wanted throw the headphones more than once. Oh and she's a special snowflake with a special badge, better then all the others. BLECH Her daddy (who has been in jail her whole life) is rich and gives her $$$ a car and of course drinking lessons.< Omg the perfect scenario for a teenager.> The demons were joker like in their comments. I was reminded of old Bat Man Shows with their cheesy evil talk. I think I heard a POW at one point, LOL. I was thrown way out of the story when one of the comical demons picked up a gun and shot a teenage girl in the face because she wasn't evil enough while her father sneered at her. I could go on and on. I couldn't get past these BS points, too many for me.
What did I like about the story. I liked the whole demon, angel idea and then that faded into, blech too.
Blech Blech Blech- what a waste of time and $

*3.25 stars*

I did enjoy the book, but it didn't give me all the feels that I would expect from a paranormal romance. I wasn't crazy about the love interest or the main character, and sometimes things came off as too preachy. However, I did like the plot of the book. I'm not sure whether or not I will continue with the series, but I am interested to see how things turn out for Anna.

I loved it <3
*read it for the second time*
Geez. This book made me cry again. This is one of the few YA books that I'll read over and over and I'd cry over and over.

Sweet Evil could have been written so much better. Yes, I could say a lot of things about it but that is the first thing I choose to say. There were times when I felt like it was written by someone who lacked experience.

The story, as a whole, is very interesting. I loved the idea of deadly sins embodied. This book could have been great. I just had a problem with how the author chose to roll things along.

Anyhow, this is still one sweet book. Very interesting plot, I'll give the author that.
