I expected this book to be harder to read because it’s so dense with information, but there were a good mix of personal anecdotes and facts so it didn’t feel like a straight up text book. Tbh this book mostly made me sad but I don’t regret reading it.

Important and insightful, a call to action against increasing anti-fat bias and actually from the perspective and lived experience of a fat woman, Aubrey Gordon, who is also one of my fave podcast hosts for the pod Maintenance Phase.

At times it felt a bit repetitive, especially between chapters/essays. I only noticed some of that because I read it so quickly - it probably could have been edited a bit more. But the messages are important and I’d recommend this to anyone!
