I’ve followed Aubrey Gordon on Twitter for awhile (and more recently have loved her on the Maintenance Phase podcast)—and her book is excellent! She so clearly lays out the harms of diet culture and anti-fat bias, debunking misconceptions about fatness and centering the systemic oppression of fat people. Highly recommend!

An important book to read for every person, especially those who want to rise above anti-fat bias. Aubrey has a way with words that portrays the experiences of fat people in this world with a unique perspective.

I wish Aubrey had done the audiobook I listened to - I love her voice! She continues to challenge bias of mine I didn’t know I had and I continue to work on them through her advocacy, and enlightening me to them. I am stunned at the amount of vitriol and hate she has received in her life for simply being - it’s shocking.
