Great little backstory piece centered around Tod. It was nice to know how he became a reaper, as I have wondered that many times thus far in the series. AFter turning Pro Tod (and Anti Nash) in My Soul to Keep, this short piece just added to those thoughts!! I didn't start off a Tod fan, but have grown into one after understanding the motivations for his actions better!!
Interesting little novella that might just inspire me to read the series it's based on.

Sad but still fun short story in Tod's typical humor, about one car accident and how he became the reaper. Tod is clearly the best character in Soul Screamers series, and this novella just once again shows who is the 'better brother'.
“So, you reap souls and crush hopes? Is that part of the job, or just a service you offer for free?”
If you love Tod and want to know more about his character, this novella provides a must read backstory for you.

It was emotional and really fuels my opinion of Nash being an F-boy. Todd is annoyly good.
I didn't think I would like this because I haven't always liked Tod in the other books. But I actually like him more now that I've read his story and where he came from.
The biggest downside to this book was Nash. Not the fact that he was in it, but that my opinion of him lowered even more from where it was at the end of My Soul to Keep.
I'm enjoying the series, but I'm starting to feel like the author is tearing Nash apart because she changed her mind mid-stream on who Kaylee should be with. We'll see if my opinion changes with the next book.

Great wee short about everyone's favourite Soul Screamers character and how he bacame a reaper.
This gave so much more insite to Todd. How he was unselfish. It also explains a little more about Nash and how he was before. I felt for Todd, but he also did what he had to in a sence stay with his family. I absoulutley cant wait for IF I DIE!!!
I loved the background story of Tod, he is so awesome! Plus it was very helpful in understanding things that have happened in the series thus far. Definitely a must read if you are a fan of the Soul Screamers series.
Read this book in one morning. I loved getting a better idea of what really happened to Tod.
