This book was alright. It wasn't my favorite in this series. I found a few parts to be funny and a lot of it to be rather boring. The plot was decent, the characters were fine, and the writing was good.

I really wnjoyed this! And i loveeed Sebastian. He’s full of green flags i,o ahhaa he’s also super funny and loveable. The only thing that brought the rating down was the FMC. There wasn’t really anything that bad with her, she’s playful, and witty, and i love how she isn’t judgement and is fun loving…. But she just seems to just go with the flow? The FMC of the previous book, Olivia, was known to be a cold beauty, but i felt like Annabel was a bit more apathetic? Or lets things just go at their own pace and she just keeps running away. It’s irritating how she just keeps being in denial majority of the time, SPOILER:
by denial, i mean denial of her decision with the Earl.) She always thinks just avoiding him wont make things not progress, even when she had a clear deadline hahaha

But yea, that’s the only thing i disliked in this book (aside from the arrogant earl of course lol) I liked her but also got tired of her running away so much. Everything else was lovely. Wished her cousin got her HEA too.

Another fun read by JQ. The plot so predictable but the characters were so lovable and humorous to read about that I couldn’t care. I read it in under a day and enjoyed every second of it. (Except for when the grandparents and the earl are there)

Sebastian being the author being Mrs Butterworth had me screaming which you learn in the prologue so its not really a spoiler.  That's the most fantastic plot point in any JQ book. I think the Belevestokes is my family series. I assumed the 3rd book would be able Winston but I'm glad we got Sebastian. I liked that Olivia was still a pretty prominent character, it's fun when they carry over more than to just say hi. This is one of the darker sides of historical romance, really everything to do with the Earl is terrible. I love how Sebastian handled everything. Annabelle is a fun character, she's funny.
