Hamilton's Mythology is one of the classic collections and an excellent starting point for anyone interested in the major mythological traditions of human history.
One of the best mythology books I've come across!
For when you want to escape into a magical world but also learn stuff.
If you like Greek mythology, this is the go-to book. This was our textbook for mythology during my junior year of high school. I love so many of the stories. Most of them are short, so it's fun to pick up and just read one now and then.

it’s not that i don’t like it. i read up to 67% perfectly fine, but hit a wall after that.
it’s not really a pleasure read, more of an informational read if you know what i mean.
i probably wouldn’t read this for fun again, other than to refresh on my fav greek stories.
bottom line: very informational, can get a bit boring. would recommend to people wanting to learn about mythology.

TEACHERS: This is an excellent source for mentor texts. Various sentences throughout the text are golden.
