I appreciate the depth of research that went into this book, and most of all, the way the story was told. I think Marshall does an excellent job winding up the events, across years and states and then letting us watch it unravel.

In his book Among the Bros, Marshall chronicles the Greek system's drug ring, and subsequent arrest of those involved, at the College of Charleston. While this does give insight into how things were done, and some colour with interviews with those in the know, sometimes this became convoluted and went on a few side tangents.

Marshall sets up an interesting situation at the end of the first chapter noting how much the police seized by way of money and drugs, but did not publicize or press charges for, on the heals of a robbery turned murder. It seems like this is the story, but going forward we chronicle a lot of 'Mikey's' early days at 'C of C'. It isn't until much later that this line is picked up again and not really explained. Ultimately I still have questions.

For anyone interested in the subject matter or Greek life, this is for you.
