Undeniably brilliant. Incomparable writing. Wholly thought-provoking and stirring.
I found this particular work somewhat denser than other Baldwin material I’ve read, so I was not able to soak up every word the way I wanted to. For that reason, it is definitely worth a re-read.
He also had some confusing remarks about homosexuality, which is ironic…. 💅But anyway…
