having the murderer revealed halfway through the book was a choice that could have caused the second half of the book to drag but it actually worked really well. it was also interesting to see how people viewed the Mormon church as more of a cult back in the 1800s (for the record I agree that it is a cult)

I really enjoyed this story. Very interesting and intricate, as per usual, with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Sherlock Holmes.

I particularly enjoyed this story because of the "bad guys" back story. Loved it! This story that ties back with America's own history was very clever and very interesting to explore as a reader.

This is my favorite Sherlock Holmes book so far.
