It really does make you laugh out loud and cry buckets. No escaping that :)
This is a great book. If you own a dog, you will love the book. It may not be a completely happy book, but it is a story I can relate to.
I read this because I wanted to take my Mom to see the movie on Christmas (she is a big fan). After finishing it, I had to buy the book for my best friend because she has a black lab (who was once on puppy Prozac!). The stories are hilarious and I think even a cat lover (like myself) will enjoy it.

This book absolutely destroyed me. With a devilish black lab that has so many parallels to Marley, it was incredibly relatable, but also having an old pup it ripped my heart in two knowing dogs don’t live forever. I quite literally sobbed throughout the final 50 pages.
one of my all time favorite books about dogs and their lovable idiosyncrasies!
I knew going in that Marley was going to die and that it'd haunt me so I read until it was clear that the end was coming and closed the book and pretended it ended there. People ask me how I could just read that far and put it down but I don't regret it one bit. I can handle fictional human deaths but animals undo me.
Funny!! Takes place in South Florida -- always enjoy reading books based in Florida.
