A really fun marriage of convenience, enemies to lovers romance

I’m a sucker for books where the MMC treats the FMC poorly and then comes to regret it. So often books like this start out great but then fall short for the regret/grovel. Thankfully this book followed through pretty well

I’d be really interested to see more stories from the side characters, especially Jovie and maybe one of Caulder’s brothers (speaking of, it was odd that his brothers were mentioned a few times but we never actually met them properly)

So this was very good! Noura was a heroine I could get behind and understand. A lot of women do things that are questionable to have a content future. She also went into the relationship with eyes wide open.

I can understand why this could technically be a infidelity/grovelling hero trope.

Banks made it clear that he wasn't wit her for love or even companionship.

But once they both started to experience REAL feelings, he was in it. But I get why she wasn't about to take things lying down. Especially when it came to the OW drama.

She stood tall and didn't let he's compassion, finally, get to her. She need this break and the grovel was so good. Even though I wish we got more into the weeks and years it to for her to commit to him again.

The begin is them not liking each other and you as the reader, getting a feel of their dynamic. The middle is when the OW drama kind of starts. It isn't to the end that the grovel starts, and with that we find out the timeframe of things. Which kinda puts the cheating in perspective. Because it really, if you both were just spouses on paper, and he didn't see you for a while month after the wedding night.

Overall great read!
