I did not enjoy the Hero in this story AT ALL. The age gap was also problematic.

So good.

This was such a good book. It was so emotional you can feel it all. I loved this story and the characters.

3.5 stars This is just another book like The Unwanted Wife. It started off promising but evolved into a unfulfilling storyline. It was just missing that something.
Caulder is forced into a MOC. He chooses a super model. The way she was trained for 6 months and had a handler you’re thinking “sex slave”. The H treats Noura bad but it’s mostly with words after the wedding/bedding. He is
Roaming London and the world and an absentee for a good part of the first part of the book. He finally comes
Back And they have a lot of meaningless sex… so
Meaningless that I skimmed A lot… which is a bad sign. Then all of a sudden we find out that Caulder aka Banks aka the H is not as evil as we thought and…. His supposedly evil parents are Really nice and champion the h. The only evil is the OW Fatima who the H was in love with but she married someone else. She’s evil in a perfunctory blase way…. Just a caricature to help the story have some oomph… I mean I didn’t even care
When she got her comeuppance in the epilogue because she had no depth..: she was just wasted filler Words on the page To drive the plot. This was really just a book with no depth. …a shallow read. This book… the story of Noura and Banks Did Have potential to pull Out all the angsty feels but that missing fire just left me feeling blah…

So I am a sucker for a good Groveling book
A group I am part of suggested this book as one of the best grovel read

What is a grovel Trope?
It's when the H does some fucked up shit that you would never ever
Never ever ever
Even with a gun on your head
Forgive him for doing in real life
But because we are hopless romantic, we want to see him on his knees, crying rivers, apologizing for pages and pages to the point of desperation

Well this book gave me the "on the knees" feel
But it was me doing the kneeling asking God to forgive me for wasting my time on such a pathetic excuse of a book

And the groveling? Almost non existent

Calder and Noura are in an Arranged/order bride kinda marriage
He hates her for being a gold digger which she is
No matter what excuse she said
She married him for his money and not for a noble cause
It was because she wanted to secure her life

Personally, I see nothing wrong in this. It is consent after all
But it is laughable because you would think she's in her late twenties and went through life
SHE IS FUCKING 18
Barely lived
I was in a bad place. i'd spent about four years struggling. My life was not improving. No matter what I did, it felt like i was still drowning

you were freaking 14!!! barely out of one diapers and on to the next!

and I couldnt understand her reasoning because up until 80% of the book she never speaks of her life

Anyways, he humiliates her
Forcely takes her virginity
Treats her badly
Cheats on her

And she takes it because she wants the money and his

Hmmm more of a 4.5z. Wasn’t perfect but I still loved this storey. It was a roller coaster of emotions. And what a storey to tell.

You cant help but be drawn to Noura’s story. She’s just trying to survive and make it. She was brave enough to swallow her pride. Although, I doubt rich in-laws would not be as been as her’s were in this book. But maybe because Banks was such an asshole in the beginning.

Im the glad in the end she made him wait… and wait… so she knew it was real, and he’d stick it out in the end.
