The Playboy's "I Do" Deal is a marriage of convenience or fake relationship story. I'll admit if I was gonna hide out from someone, a luxury yacht would be my first choice, so we know Clare has good taste! This trope is one I only read sparingly these days because it's been done and done again, which makes it hard to find something original in its category. The storyline here isn't one I've seen often, so that's a big plus, and the pacing is really good. Things moved along nicely, and I liked the characters from the start. There is a bit of danger for this couple, and of course, there has to be some of the expected angst, but the story is mostly fun and entertaining rather than getting as heavy as it could have. I will say that if you're looking for realism, this one isn't gonna work. It definitely stretches one's ability to suspend disbelief, but if you're looking for a fun bit of escapism, this should do nicely.
