I liked and connected with so much of this, but ultimately the fact that it took Mina so long to stop just accepting whatever anyone offered her and demand she be treated well, plus how consistently oblivious the hero is left me unsatisfied.
2.5 stars. It started off promising, but soon became convoluted. I liked Mina, but Simon grated my nerves.
This book had a very Balogh-esque vibe, but no sex. Not that Balogh is particularly steamy, but this one was "clean" (I hate that term, personally.) I also thought it ended super abruptly, and would have welcomed an epilogue.
