I reread this on audiobook while drawing. It was definitely better when I was younger, but I still enjoyed it.

The first book in this series was really cute. This second one was a bit too manufactured. I no longer really loved the characters. Emily was making terrible choices and it was infuriating to keep reading to my daughter. We finished the story and my kid was so confused as to why the people who did the right thing were acting as if they were the ones to blame. I won't be continuing this series with her.

My daughter has rated this a 5 because she says it was super good and she liked it. It kept her interest so it was good enough. I personally would rate it a 3.5 not a bad tweeny/kids book. I like chapter books that keep my child's attention.
