5 Stars is an understatement! I have fallen in love with this book and how it made me laugh and also get me thinking about so many things. Just as I got started with this book it came to an end and I never wanted it to end! It was so beautifully written! I love them and GMM and I’m glad they’ve been a part of my routine and want to #TBT (Thowback Thanks) for making me Mythical Best and I’m glad that I’m a Mythical Beast!
Get to know the faces behind Good Mythical Morning and why they aspire to be bring Mythicality into everything they do.
It's one thing to say you and you're friend will be Best Friends Forever, but it's another thing to actually stay best friends for over 30 years with the kid you met in first grade. And yet, that's exactly what Rhett and Link have done, not only staying best friends, but also working together to create Mythical Entertainment and become two of the most recognised Internetainers of our time. In this Book Of Mythicality, Rhett and Link lead you through moments in their lives from the day they met in first grade, throughout college and to creating Good Mythical Morning and everything that has spawned in the past six years. As the title says, it's 'a field guide to curiosity, creativity and tomfoolery' - that is, a look at how you can increase the Mythicality in your life so you can be your mythical best.
I've been a fan of Rhett and Link for about four years now - I tune in every day to watch GMM and listen to their podcast, Ear Biscuits, every week. They're some of the few YouTube creators that I've watch continually since stumbling across their videos. So naturally, this book was one that I knew I had to read - anything to have a little more Rhett and Link in my life. Actually, I ended up reading about half the book before switching over to listen to the whole thing on audiobook, which I highly recommend.
Firstly, the book is so well set out visually - they've done such a fantastic job bringing everything together and creating pages that are a little wacky and very illustrative heavy, as well as having pages that a very text heavy. It's such a visually appealing book and one that you can just pick up and flip through to an interesting page and give it a bit of a read.
This book is very much Rhett & Link in book form. You've got serious chats, weird tangents and wacky scenarios. Somehow, you can go from talking about their childhood adventures, to giving hairstyle makeovers to historical figures, to reading/hearing about Rhett & Link from their wife's - Jessie and Christy - perspectives, to a quiz on whether you should get a dog or not, and then to reading Rhett and Link's own eulogies. It sounds weird, but if you know anything about Rhett and Link , you know it wouldn't make sense any other way.
It's so great to be able to not only read stories and anecdotes they've told on GMM or Ear Biscuits, but to also read new stories, see pictures, read notes and follow diagrams that tell the story of Rhett and Link - from meeting in first grade to where they are today. Apart from pieces written (and read) by Jessie and Christy, some of the Mythical Crew have also gotten involved.
If you're a fan of Rhett and Link, this is a must-read book. And while someone who's never watched an episode of GMM or listened to an episode of Ear Biscuits can certainly pick the book up, you do need to know a little bit about these two internetainers to truly understand and appreciate the masterpiece that is Rhett & Link's Book Of Mythicality.
This book is a fun, interesting, insightful and an inspiring read that'll have you truly wanting to be your mythical best.

i think this is always a book im always going to go back and read. when ever i feel low this rhett and link has my back... i recommend even if you don't like/don't know who rhett and link is. there has been a few jokes about how weired i am but this book has helped me be able to not care.
As a big fan of GMM I really enjoyed reading this. It was super interactive, funny, sweet and I loved learning more about their lives and BTS snippets. Highly recommend for other Mythical Beasts!
I will start out by saying that I have been watching Good Morning Mythical and following Rhett and Link's journey since around 2015. I love their curiosity and their really fun friendship on top of the constant improvements they make in themselves. With that being said, I am very surprised in how much I didn't enjoy this book. It has been one of the longest and slowest reads for me this year. It had been so difficult that towards the 2nd half of the book, I just started skimming the infographics in the book just so I could get through it. I am not sure if their style of humor doesn't really translate well into book form or if I was expecting something different than what I got.
If it wasn't for my admiration for the good work that Rhett and Link do, it would've been a solid 2 from me. Dang…

I love GMM so I wasn't surprised that I love this book! There is pictures and charts on almost every page so it's a quick read. Rhett and Link tell you how they met and stories from their lives while also giving you a guidebook to being mythical.
I'm so happy Rhett and Link included their wives in this. Their early dating and proposal stories were my favorite part. The pictures are adorable.
I also loved the chapter on Merle Haggard. It's another of the many things I wish my dad were still around so I could share with him. It reminded me of my childhood, growing up in the 90's and being obsessed with music from the 60's and 70's. I was probably the only girl with a crush on Davy Jones.
If you love the show or even if you just love laughing this would be great for you. I've heard the audio book is awesome but I recommend both so you can still see all the pictures.

This was fun. I think I liked the anecdotes more than the advice (especially endearing was how Rhett and Link wooed their respective wives). The format reminded me of I Like You by Amy Sedaris (in a good way). An attractive package and amusing. If you like GMM you'll like this.
I love these guys. I listened to this on audiobook and loved hearing them read it themselves, but I also want to get the print copy because it's a beautiful design.
