I have been a fan of Good Mythical Morning for a few years now, so when Rhett and Link announced they were writing a book, I immediately added it to my wishlist. And even though I got it shortly after it was published, I only just got around to reading it now.
This is such a humorous and interesting look into two of the 40-year-old men I watch on the internet on a regular basis. They share such pertinent and relevant stories that have helped me to understand these gentlemen and their internetainment that much better. I really appreciated seeing their take on things and actually one of my new favorite quotes comes from their book - "Sometimes the most important part of the journey is just deciding to go"
Each chapter was just long enough to share good information, but just short enough to keep my attention, because there was a lot of text in some sections.
I also appreciated the chapter with the wifes (and yes I know plural of wife is wives, but if you read that chapter, you'll understand why it should be written as wifes).
All in all, a good read with some good laughs throughout.

If you're a diehard fan of Good Mythical Morning, as well as Rhett McLaughlin and Link Neal's other endeavors, then please, by all means snap up a copy of this book. It's pretty heavy, so if you wrap it up in a reusable shopping bag, you'll only need to add one and a half standard-sized construction bricks to give it enough heft to knock out a wandering vagrant, should the need arise. As a book, it is perhaps even more dense than as a weapon. There is a lot of information here, framed as life advice. I have a suspicion this is to deter civilians from one-shotting the memoir in the aisles of their local Target.
When I go about reading entertainers' memoirs, I'm usually looking for more behind-the-scenes and rise-to-fame anecdotes (obviously to take notes so I can follow suit and get some freaking money for once). In this regard, I found the Book of Mythicality severely lacking. According to it, I'm already sufficiently mythical anyway. I can't guarantee that this book will make you more mythical, personally. If you've been watching Rhett and Link for years, then you've probably got a head start on it, and if you have no idea who these guys are and stumbled upon this book by accident when a hostile aggressor (such as myself) whacked you with it to avoid being mugged, then you might just be confused and mildly concussed. It may be that the book is geared more towards a younger audience being pressured by their peers to be average or something, and if that's the case, then it's a good thing it exists.
If you have a Mythical Beast in your life, definitely get them this book, but make sure none of their other well-meaning friends and relatives have already purchased it for them beforehand. That would be extremely awkward. I'd say it's worth a read on its own.

It's definitely worth listening to the audiobook! It really adds to the experience hearing Link and Rhett narrate. :)
funny
I feel like this is a glorified self-help book. I love Rhett and Link, but this just didn’t hit home for me. I still love them!!
medium-paced
As an avid viewer of their YouTube series Good Mythical Morning, I am a follower and fan of Rhett and Link. I love their lifelong best friendship and collective sense of humor. I enjoyed this read, but would have liked more accounts of stories and longer chapters. The focus seemed to be more on the pages that had photos/illustrations; I understand this may have been to appeal to a younger demographic. I loved the cameos of their wifes (yes, wifes, not wives) and Mrs. Locklear. Would love to see a more comprehensive memoir by these guys a few years down the line.
This book is an essential for any Mythical Beast! Rhett and Link are so fun, hilarious, and bring so much joy to the world.

I'm pretty sure it is physically impossible to read this book without laughing, and smiling, and feeling like the world is a better place because these two goofballs became friends. Read it to be inspired to be kinder, more curious, more creative--in a word, more mythical.
