the waiting was over—but the wanting had just begun
I love the way this series goes through the years with the family, not just a few months have passed. I thought ti was an amazing suprise to revisit the O'Hurlys in this book and thoroughly enjoyed it :D
I love Nora Roberts, and it's summertime, and I just need some trashy romance.
Quick and easy car read! Not much in the way of story line but girl did get guy!

My cover is painfully awful. I love how they've since photoshopped the dude's ponytail off of it. Must not have helped sell the book at all.
Despite the cover, cute story, cute characters. Keeper for my shelves.

A quick & fun read.
I always enjoy Roberts' large family novels because when the family gets together--as the Stanislaskis do in this book (along with the O'Hurleys)--she makes it sound so fun. Of course, having lots of money--which the Stanislaskis/O'Hurleys do--makes it easier, but, hey, isn't that what fiction is for--to transport us to worlds we know we'll never inhabit?

wasn’t a fan of this book. if the next one is going to be as disappointing as this one, then the series picked with the first generation of stanislaskis.
the majority of the book was frustrating and painful to read. i was afraid freddie would get hurt when nick eventually rejected her.

“But he hadn’t held her. Not the way she so desperately needed him to.
She wondered if he ever would.”
Waiting for Nick by Nora Roberts
Frederica had left her hometown and headed to NYC where other relatives live. She is a lyricist and hopes to team up with Nick, who she's loved since they were kids.
She sets words to his tunes and Nick knows it's gonna be a hit, even them working together. They are cousins but it's complicated.
The family gathering brings them closer and further apart.
When Marla, a relative comes to the family after her husband has abused her and the kids, Fred ends up being attacked from him also.
She breaks off when he can't love her in the normal way.
