pretty fun! light reading for sure, barely a book at times, but overall I enjoyed the writing style and breezy conversational vibe. over and done in a day, and I doubt I'll pick it up again, but I was entertained!

Caroline Calloway is many things, but she’s certainly not boring, and this “daybook” is no exception. Part internet clap back, part confessional, many parts breathless description of the collegiate upper crust. Some chapters drag, and Calloway’s relentless aestheticization of anything and everything (grief described as sandalwood perfume, eg) wearies at times. Still, there are undeniable moments of beauty, honesty, and insight — she’s especially apt in her insights about the internet’s brave-new-world order (IT girls are like startups, she writes; the rules for surviving cancellation are the same as for surviving a rip tide — don’t struggle). Perhaps most refreshingly, Calloway includes enough gory details in this book as to unglamorize herself — or at the very least, to redefine her brand as unglamorous.
Idk man I don’t think all your problems stem from an article your former friend wrote
