A good read. I wouldn't call her "Iceland's Steig Larsson" as the book jack does, because they seem very different--they're just writing about northern mysteries.

Thora is a good lead. I would definitely read more.

really fantastic. crime/harsh subjects, for sure. But great story lines, plot, characters.

An interesting crime thriller set in Iceland with many twists and turns. Some characters weren’t fully developed as much as they could have been but a decent read.
dark mysterious medium-paced

Chyba ciut słabsza niż poprzednie części i w sumie nie wiem czemu akurat takie wrażenie, bo historia nawet całkiem niezła aczkolwiek trochę dziwna i pogmatwana, z wybuchem wulkanu w tle,to jednak miała kilka przynudzających momentów. Czytało się dobrze, ale bez rewelacji. Może następne części będą lepsze, na co w gruncie rzeczy bardzo liczę.

Veľmi dobrá detektívka z Islandu, príjemná oddychovka

It took me a full three months to read the first half of this book, approximately two sentences each night before I dozed off (my second worst slog after [b:A is for Alibi|64863|A is for Alibi (Kinsey Millhone, #1)|Sue Grafton|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1388198817l/64863._SY75_.jpg|1299178]). There were so many unnecessary words. Finally, as I was reading this afternoon, the plot started going somewhere and I spent as much time today as possible reading this book. It's kind of a hot mess, with lots and lots of characters, a few different crimes, and one unbelievably complicated scheme--which doesn't really come to life because it features dead actors and just gets summarized by other characters.
