Nastavak “Hirurga” me je pomalo razočarao, ustvari, razočarao me je dovoljno da time započnem osvrt.

I gave this book only three stars because of the ending. It seemed very abrupt, and I was expecting more suspense in the end after reading The Surgeon. With that being said, it was a good read with plenty of suspense and "can't-put-down" moments, which is one of my favorite things about this newly discovered author of mine.
So I’ve done well with this series. I read the seventh first, then the fourth and now the second!
This is very evidently a follow on from the first book but saying that I could follow the story well and could work out what had happened previously, I could imagine this may not go down so well if you had actually read The Surgeon. The story itself was pretty fast passed and you were kept on you toes as to what happens next. I’m curious as why it’s classed as the Rizzoli & Isles series when Isles has a very small part in the book? Also then ending felt a little rushed without a huge amount of drama but overall a quick entertaining read.

An equally creepy and thrilling follow-up to The Surgeon!

Completely brilliant! The Surgeon is back and he has a new murdering buddy - The Apprentice/Dominator. Gerritsen is on top form with this book, couldn't put it down!

I liked the first one in this series reasonably well. But while I liked Rizzoli a little better in this one, I found myself bored with the story. I felt like revisiting the first killer is something you should do much later on in a series, rather than going RIGHT back there. I'd like some variety in my crazy killers, tyvm.
Isles shows up in this one, but she's almost a non-entity. I'm impatient for this series to finally warrent the series name.
I'm borrowing these from the bookstore I work at (don't freak out, it's a now AND used book store and these are used copies I'm borrowing), so I'll probably read the next one to see if this gets any better, but I'm gonna take a wee break and read something else.
