Quite a unique type of writing. Simple but encourages to think more deeply on the nature of the characters. Sometimes funny but also utterly upsetting.

I haven’t read anything like this but at the same time it felt familiar, like being inside my own head. I want more (this was my first Lispector.)

An anti-novel to my reading pattern, this was my first experience with such unique prose.

at once shocking and numbing. the beautiful prose coupled with the mundane life of the subject makes for a remarkably real story. I can’t wait to read more of Lispector’s work in the future
