This book was interesting (if a little dry).

It followed the lives of couple Philip and Mary Jane Keeney and their (probably ineffective, but nonetheless) forays into espionage. It's hard to confirm much because their personal papers were burned by them, and like all spies, they tried not to leave a paper trail, but what is left behind pieces together a picture of primitive spying and counter-spying.

And since it's the Cold War, there is some very unethical and unAmerican spying and wire-tapping on the side of the US government. FOR SHAME.

Oh, censorship and control of information. What an interesting debate you are.
