cute at times but captions are not funny or cute, some crude and humanizing cat sexuality.
Silly and fun; a good little coffee table book. There are some truly unique and weird cats around, and apparently they all posed for pictures for this book.
An odd curio, a sort of pre-social media collection of what we'd deem "internet cats".
The humor is mild and stale, if you chuckle it's from the odd photo and never the caption. While I'm sure this was the cats PJs in 2004, it certainly seems to be the kinda weird gift you'd give to that shut in aunt of yours who laughs at Reader's Digest.

So basically I grabbed this book at the thrift store because cats. I'm a cat person.
But I was rather disappointed. I wanted cute cats, but they're pretty boring/average pictures with captions that were rather hit or miss on the funny scale and mostly didn't match up with the picture very well.

This book cracks me up! So many of the photos inside are just hilarious. There are a few that are a little over-the-top, but all in a all a fun little book.
The wide availability of stupid cat pictures is one of the best things about the interwebs. Unfortunately, it makes Edgar’s book of stupid cat pictures pretty much redundant. If his accompanying text were even half as funny as most of the stuff on I Can Has Cheezburger, I wouldn’t mind the redundancy, as I like having humorous content in book form. (I would buy an I Can Has Cheezburger book if there were one.) But it’s really, really not. Thus it’s not so much a case of DO NOT WANT as DO NOT NEED.
