I absolutely loved this series. I have read it twice now and every time I have been able to finish each book in one day. It's one of those series that grabs you and just doesn't let go and when you're done you can't help but wish for more. Suzanne Collins has given us a beautiful story. I know there will come a time that i will probably read this series again and i'm sure that time will be no different.

The world that this book takes place in is so much like our own, that it makes it believable that something like this could happen. I think one of the reasons it takes hold of so many of us is that we all at some point in time have had a conversation about something like this happening to us. It definitely makes me wonder what it would be like if we found our country in a similar situation. What would it take for us all to come together and fix what has been broken. This series is a wonderful series.

There are many other reasons to read this series. It truly is remarkable. It is imaginative, adventurous, climatic and will keep you on the edge of your seats.

Although it's written for the young readers genre there is something here for everyone.

I am reading this series, but I found a huge printing error in my Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes I got for Christmas from Amazon! It's missing 7 chapters from 12 to 20!!! Is there a website where I can possibly get this copy replaced? I was getting into the book and now I'm so bummed I'm missing out! Please help!

*using this as a placeholder for Crimson Rivers*

Aaaaaaaahh okay the first 520K words of crimson rivers are done. Damn that took me.... a little more than a month. I read it faster than all the young dudes lol. Sadly Ive seen some spoilers for the rest of the chapters, which is why I really wanna catch up to where everyone else is.
But
Anyways
About the fic.

Holy shit. I'm just really appreciating how much of a genius Zar is and how good they are at writing. Not just the words but also just the whole world they've created, the relationships between characters, the difference pov's, the plottwists and keeping you on your toes. I think my favourite part was when James and Regulus were in the arena cuz it was wolfstar and jegulus and also James was just so funny and cheerful and I WANNA GO BACK TO THAT TIME.
I cried a lot. Some of the quotes were so fucking heartbreaking omg. Zar's writing is so so so beautiful I will never get over it. And their authors notes

this is the actual blueprint for all YA dystopian fiction series. it might just be nostalgia, but i reread the trilogy recently and it was every bit as exciting as when i read it the first time. 5 stars across the board, except that it could have incorporated better diversity and representation of the us. the prequel was a nice addition, but it left some questions unanswered and it felt like it needed something more. overall in love with the characters and themes that these books have, and from what i’ve read, there are no series in this genre that compare
