Wow! Every single poem in this book packs a punch. Not one word wasted. I was lucky to hear Dorothy Chan read from this book before I started it, which made reading this that much more enjoyable. There is so much content here that I feel like I need to restart it immediately. This collection is packed full of culture, romance, and food. One of my favorite things about these pieces is recurring themes/images threaded throughout the whole collection. This is unlike anything I have read before. I can’t wait to read more from this author!

I had to put down Revenge of the Asian Woman. I was halfway through and couldn't finish it. She definitely needs to learn how to use a period. Like another person who reviewed the book, I felt like I couldn’t break for air when reading these poems.
