I've grown up watching the Anne of Green Gables movies by Sullivan - and (unpopular opinion) they just weren't my favorite. But after reading the book, I'm so pleasantly surprised! There were so many delicious details and characters left out from the movie! WHY!? Phil and Aunt Jamesina were so neat, Ruby Gillis dies from consumption, and Anne is actually on good terms with Gilbert! The only friction between them is that she wants to continue being chums while he wants something deeper.

Can't wait to read the rest in the series!
