This is the first of this series I have read- and probably the last. I can't figure out who this book is written for. The Teddy Bears and the rhyme seem to indicate this is for preschoolers, but the math concepts are not age-appropriate. Older children, aged six to eight, are capable of doing the math but would probably not be pleased with the juvenile look and feel of the text and illustrations. Also, this book is fairly useless unless you have a set of Teddy bear manipulatives. Those little Teddies are not cheap, so once you add the cost of them to the cost of this book, you could purchase several other colorful, enjoyable, age-appropriate math supplements instead.
