this book feels like a warm summer breeze and the smell of coffee, with its adventurous aura and familial relationships, i loved this book and plan to read the other book in the series❤️❤️

i rlly enjoyed this book it was exactly what i needed, and i read it so quick. it’s the classic short slice of life nothing much happens book, but it was so relaxing and enjoyable. i rlly recommend it 💛

I’m surprised at the visceral reaction I had to this book.

There were a few things that made this book awkward: inauthentic, simplistic dialogue that ranged from embarrassing to stilted, boring and childish characters, anti-climatic “mystery”, really uncomfortable commentary on “romance”. This lacked the hallmarks of what makes a good slice of life book and I just couldn’t gel with it. It’s also super boring: I’ve read 300+ page books in less time than it took to read this.
