Ridiculous. Clever though, but I did find the ending somewhat unsatisfying.

Great stuff. One of the most difficult things in writing is putting sarcasm on paper in ink and having it come across as funny. Adams seems to do it deftly and with ease. I thought the second edition of the series was possibly better than the first. Loved it.

I enjoyed this more than the first book, but my conclusion is that I’m no longer at a point in my life where this works for me. As a teenager, this was right up my alley, but this is just too much randomness and too little plot for me to really enjoy. There’s some great humor here, but I don’t find the humor to be as consistently funny as many others do. This time around I think I’ll stop here rather than carrying on to the rest of the (incorrectly named) trilogy.
