Student Review:
*Point Blank was very good. It fits in many categories of which could be very interesting to many. These categories include but are not limited to: Sci Fi, Realistic Fiction, Mystery, Action, and Adventure. It is a good choice for many and will not let you down. Everyone loves a good scare or book, and this is a good book. It has lots of good action fights and death scenes, and it is very mysterious. It has many investigations integrated into this book. Even if it is a spy/mystery book, it includes a lot of other genres which makes it special. The action is amazing. It is about a kid named Alex Rider. He is now a spy. One day, someone known as The Gentleman killed Mr. Roscoe. His boss wanted him to find out why, and he thought it all lied at Point Blank academy. With much action and mystery, he finds out the secret. But what this secret could mean only he could find out. Read this book to see what happens. –Varun J., 6th grade 16-17

Alex finds himself in trouble when he attempts to put an end to a drug dealer who has been working outside his school. Mr. Blunt and Mrs. Jones use this to blackmail Alex to work for them again going undercover in a school called Point Blanc where strange things have been reported by the parents of students who have been sent there. When a wealthy businessman is killed right after calling Mr. Blunt about the school, it is decided that someone must go into the school posing as a student, and their only option is Alex.
Point Blank is the next action packed addition to the Alex Rider series. Just like Stormbreaker, this book follows Alex as he is one again thrust into the world of spies against his will. In this book, as in the first, we start to see that even though Alex isn't thrilled about the work, he does seem to have a certain need to follow through on his efforts, and his skills seem up to the challenge. There is still so much about Alex's personality that isn't clear, but more was revealed in this book as we find him being more sarcastic with a darker world view. Overall Point Blank continues to develop more of the story behind Alex Rider. 3 1/2 stars.

Considering Alex isn't allowed a gun, he already has an impressive kill count in just two books/missions. I mean, it's mostly accidental like a baddie is trying to kill him and he does something to avoid it which means the would-be murderer is killed instead but still.

As a kid, the second book in the Alex Rider Series was one of my favourites for a reason.
This book has everything you need for a spying novel: going abroad for a mission, being self-reliant and resourceful and most of all - the absolute ICON that is Alex Rider.
Point Blank is doubtlessly the book in which Alex’s sass awakens with full force and as a kid as well as now as a young adult, I am here for it! Talking back to the guy who has made it clear he is about to kill you? Check. Insulting his violent co-worker in the process? Check. And not to forget about THE snowboarding scene...
This book has it all. From suspenseful investigation to thrilling attempts to flee to an explosive showdown.

Didn't disappoint at all :)))
Loved to see Alex back in action! This is probably one of my favourite book in the series and I won't spoil why but let me just say that the air of mystery remains almost till the end followed by a huge plot twist at the end. The concept is just so unique and puzzling at the same time that the reader is immediately drawn to it.
Loved it!

James Bond has his match with Alex Rider, 14 year old agent! In this book, his mission takes him to the top of the French Alps to a school for delinquent boys. When 2 of the boys' fathers end up dead, MI6 starts to wonder... so they send in Alex to investigate while pretending to be one of the boys.
I think I liked this book better than the first one in the series. I'm excited to see what the other books bring!
