Me habían vendido este libro diciéndome "te va a cambiar la vida" y le tuve tanto respeto que estuvo 3 años en mi estantería cogiendo polvo.
Este mes me digné a leerlo y no sé si no era el momento adecuado para mí o es que simplemente la forma de contar la historia no me gustó, pero creo que este libro tiene muchísimo potencial malgastado.
La premisa del libro es muy interesante, fue lo que me llamó tanto la atención como para comprarlo, pero la ejecución podría haber sido mejor. Me costó TANTO leer los dos primeros tercios del libro... No era capaz de leer más de 10 páginas seguidas, se me hacía muy lento, cansado y aburrido.
Como había gastado mi dinero en el libro me forcé a acabarlo y, a partir de la página 200, me empezó a gustar. Si no fuese por ese último tercio, la puntuación que le pondría al libro sería mucho más baja, pero el final me sorprendió gratamente, hasta llegaría a decir que me encantó y que hará que piense recurrentemente en el libro.
Dicho esto, aunque sufrí leyendo los dos primeros tercios del libro y no entendía por qué no me enganchaba, cada persona es distinta y sí recomendaría a la gente que le diese una oportunidad, el final es precioso y muy esperanzador🫶🏻.

i seriously read this book at the perfect time…what a devastating story that leaves you hopeful when you reach the end…as someone who struggles with mental health (which might i add has been notably harder to deal with lately) i absolutely needed this right now

It was a quick read. Interesting concept. However, I wish the book had dived more into the mental health aspect and not just dismissed it as I will now be better cause I realize that there is no better life to libe than the one Im in and the main character having an epiphany after she attempted to take her life. I do like the concept of the science of the multiverse and how different actions and decisions lead to that particular life. Overall a light good read
I started this book to you take a breather, but this one had a cherry on top which just made me love my life so so so much. a fantastic book, i loved every word, every page. actually made me consider starting to highlight lines in the book! While i’m not there just yet, here’s my two favorite quotes:

I like the idea of the book. I don’t like how it is written. I don’t like the idea of spoon-feeding ideas and emotions. It’s like it was dictating me how I should feel. It’s tiring. I love the idea of being able to try different lives tho.
