I am... not a 100% sure why I'm reading this series. I am not particularly wowed by it. I mean, Clamp, yeah, Clamp but I mayyyy have grown out of their demographic? To think that 15 years ago I was terrified at the thought of being in my mid 20s when Clamp might actually finish X (ahahah, naive me). But how many times can Clamp rehash CCS/TRC/XXXholic???

liked it more than the first volume but I'm not a fan of the translation. There's weird inconsistencies with the original series...

I love this series! It’s so cute and aesthetically pleasing. All of the characters are so sweet and lovable. I love how Sakura, Li and Akiho always believes the stories that Yamazaki tells, it’s so cute. I watched the anime a few years ago, so I’d forgotten about Akiho. I was so happy when she was introduced because I loved her in the anime, even though I hadn’t remember her. Delightful volume and I can’t wait to read the next!

The classic magic girl series continues with middle school jokes, gullible classmates, and plushies that love to play video games.
In volume 1, Sakura's caught two new cards, and they happen to be clear! What does this mean for Sakura? What is going on with her cards?

genuinely incredible how faithful an adaptation the tv show is of this -- usually when i read the manga after watching the anime i get a glimpse of things that have been cut or a better understanding of characters/plots more elaborated in the manga but this is exactly as i watched it
