As expected, some of the essays will stick with me more than others, but this is generally a strong collection representing a truly broad range of viewpoints. I found I was able to better understand some of the aspects of horror that fascinate me after this deep dive.

As with any anthology, there are some winners and some losers here.

But the winners shine through. And even though I'm not a huge horror fan, and have not seen a lot of the films mentioned, there was still a lot of relatable content, as a queer person, in this book.

Highly recommended for queer horror fans.

pretty fun essay collection. inspired to purchase it after reading that Julia K Armfield essay about The Exorcist and chronic illness, and while none were quite as good as that one, still pretty fab.

Highly highly highly recommend to any horror/thriller fan, especially those who are queer themselves. Can not praise this enough.
