Alright so first of all I need everyone to know that I seriously was doubting the direction of the series, as soon as Dragons, I mean “draekons” were introduced. I love dragons, but I have always questioned why every YA fantasy there needs to be a dragon, and of course some like bonding situation. The doubt was completely wiped from my mind when I fell in love all over again with the concept of Draekora and the connection with Xira. I liked how though this whole concept and species was introduced, it was only really there in the background. I think this was a smart move considering everything else that was going on in this book.

Wow though, this book was amazing, I love a good time loop and it was so well thought out and really just kept you thinking through the whole book. It’s hard to not want to rush to the end considering you know the overall outcome, but getting to learn all the history and minor details and as we all find out, Alex’s involvement in past and present it was amazing and I couldn’t put it down.

I was disappointed that we missed a lot of bestie action (Dix, Bear and Jordan), but I adored getting to know Roka, Kyia, Aven and of course Niyx so much. Going living in that past life just makes you feel for the outcome even more because I know I got attached to Aven, so I am sure others did too. It was genuinely upsetting, that ending and I really just felt for everyone involved. I love that everything that happened just adds another layer to potential outcomes for the next two books and I can’t wait.
