Think ACOTAR, but make it less problematic with a more fast-paced plot after you make your way through the first few chapters.

I really did like this book, and I loved Remy as a character! I loved the premise of enemies to lovers (even though she fell too quickly in my opinion, but that’s just me). However I still couldn’t give it 5 stars
The biggest reason for that is that it feels rushed. You when you're summarizing a book you might just sometimes gloss over the less important parts? It kind of feels like the entire book was glossed over. Especially the journey, it just seemed way too fast.
Also, the big secret she has been hiding for most of the book? I loved it, don’t get me wrong I had an idea what it was from the beginning, but the way the author finally showed it was perfect.
All in all, I LOVE the plot and the fact there's witches and fae together. You don't really see that in books (or you do, but witches tend to be in the background and the fae seem to be more of the focus). I have high hopes for the sequel. I hope we get to see more of Rua.

Meh. The story is one that I feel like I’ve read before and I guessed every plot twist that came my way. It was entertaining but the enemies became lovers too quickly. I also hate the bringing back people to life after they die multiple times in ONLY 300 pages. Give me some time to actual care about the characters before you kill them.
